Intended use is for the quantitative in vitro determination of Glucose/Fructose in wine, beer, and fruit juices. This product is suitable for Manual and Automated use (procedure sheets available upon request). Sugars play a key role in the wine making process.

Glucose is also found together with fructose in honey, sweet fruits and vegetables. Fructose is sweeter than glucose and is used in the production of many diet foods. Glucose with fructose is one of the two principle sugars of sweet wines and is an important indicator of grape ripening. Glucose is high during ripening and Fructose high in over ripe grapes
